Qnanza just entered the Coupon Bonanza market on June 25, 2011.  The online coupon market is exploding, and we are too!

Some indications we’re in the right place at the right time:

  • Groupon is “The Fastest Growing Company Ever” according to Forbes Magazine dated Aug. 30, 2010.  The article says, “Unlike so many dot-com rockets, Groupon is a real business.  Occupying 85,000 square feet inside a rehabbed eight-story former Montgomery Ward warehouse in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, the company is on track to pass $500 million in revenue this year, according to a report Morgan Stanley put together to win some underwriting business.  No technology stalwart–including Ebay, Amazon.com, Yahoo, AOL, and Google–grew that big that fast.  At just 17 months old this April Groupon boasted a $1.35 billion valuation when it raised $135 million, the biggest chunk of it from Digital Sky Technologies, the curious Moscow investment fund behind Facebook and Zynga.  (Mason will not disclose his stake, which he says is less than 50%.)  The only company to reach a $1 billion valuation faster was YouTube (now part of Google), founded in 2005 and still waiting to turn its first profit.  Groupon broke into the black just seven months after inception.”
  • The Aug. 10, 2011 CNN/Money story (a year after the Forbes story above) said Groupon did $878 million in the second quarter of 2011, and this site says their 2010 revenue was $760M (and $33M for 2009).  That means they’ve done about $2.5B since they launched at the end of 2008.
  • TheDealMap.com began listing Qnanza’s coupons the last week of July, and then was just purchased by Google Aug. 1, 2011!
  • The battle for domination of the coupon aggregation industry has just begun …

After two years in the Army, getting a real estate license and selling no houses, and a year as Systems Manager for a Chrysler dealership, I decided to dive into the world of running my own business, where I’ve worked FULL-TIME in direct sales since 1990 (20 years), with only 1099 (self-employed) income in that time (no employer or other income).

In the 1990s, with Nu Skin Enterprises, which is traded publicly on the New York Stock Exchange, I built a business that generated $20 million in revenue, with thousands of distributors. I reached the “Millionaire’s Circle” (career income over $1 million) in 2002, which you can read about in the company’s Sep. 2003 magazine (PDF). Further, my story was published in the book Your First Year in Network Marketing (by Mark Yarnell, Chapter 3, Dodging the Depression Torpedo, p.75; Prima Publishing, 1998), which you can find in any major bookstore or online from endless places.

My next step is to make enough money to be financially independent, with the end goal to have time freedom to work on the more important things in life.
